Onet revealed the emails of Maria Kurowska to show the mechanics of functioning of the Justice Fund during Zbigniew Ziobra. As we read, the PiS MP from Podkarpacia was to send messages to the fund managers at the Ministry of Justice. As can be concluded from this correspondence, she was to want to control contracts signed in the municipalities of her constituency.
For example, in the news of July 24, 2020, addressed to Tomasz Mraz, then manager of the FS Department, we read: "I very much ask that no agreements with the municipalities be signed without consulting me in Jasielski and Krosnoński district".
Maria Kurowska denies everything
Kurowska has published a message in which she powerfully denies that specified an email has been sent and questions its authenticity. "All the messages I've been moving on this case came exclusively from my private address. Meanwhile, only the one, contested, would be sent from the service box?! I never sent specified correspondence," she wrote.
"At the time it was to be sent, I experienced the death of my spouse and was completely excluded from public activity," she pointed out. And she added that the full situation looked like a typical "political assault" and a fight against the opposition.
Onet publishes evidence. They deny the words of the PiS MPs
The evidence that Onetu journalists print completely contradicts her words. A screenshot with an email was attached and it was stated that the authors of the article are besides in possession of a "original file in the .eml format of the message that was delivered to the private address of Tomasz Mraz".
The portal besides analysed email metadata, including a fragment of the origin header of this message, i.e. a method evidence of it containing details of its route, sender, recipient, subject and date. There is evidence that the message was sent to Tomasz Mraz on 24 July 2020 at 13:33 p.m.
Moreover, the email's authenticity was confirmed by Mraz himself. However, if Kurowska is so insistent that she did not send this electronic message, the portal wrote that there are various possibilities in this matter: "or individual broke into the message server of the Chancellery of the Sejm in mid 2020 (the Sejm was ordered by officials associated with the Law and Justice), or individual having access to the box of the Sejm MP Kurowska sent specified an email to Tomasz MRaz without her knowledge, or yet sent this message herself".
As Kamil Dziubka noted, "On 24 July 2020, on the day on which the email was sent, she took part in 81 parliamentary votes – she did not leave any".
Kurowska even turned to Google
Maria Kurowska even asked Google Poland a public question. "Was any correspondence sent to Google servers from my seismic email box on July 24, 2020 at 13.33 pm?" she wrote on the X platform. She asked for a clear Google position on this issue, because, as she stressed, "it is crucial to measure whether we are dealing with information or political provocation."
Let us add that recently, Michał Wójcik, presently MP of the Law and Justice, and in the past of the Polish Sovereign politician and Deputy Minister in the Justice Ministry led by Ziobra, stated at a press conference that prosecutors from the National Investigation squad No. 2 established in the Public Prosecutor's Office, which deals with the case of the Justice Fund, "most likely, have fabricated electronic correspondence, have given it the appearance of authenticity, veracity."
Wójcik added that due to the fact that in the public space there were "false accusations, violating dignity and individual property" of Kurowska MPs, together with PiS, a notification was prepared about the suspicion of a crime committed by prosecutors from the PK team. It is to be filed with the territory Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
