It was the erstwhile head of the interior safety Agency in 2021 that issued a safety message to Karol Nawrock – the current president of the IPN. In consequence to the critical words of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he now powerfully rejects the allegations.

"The Prime Minister Donald Tusk one more time misses the truth. In 2021, the examination procedure was conducted by the Department for the Protection of Confidential Information of ABW in Warsaw, not by the ABW Delegation in Gdańsk", wrote erstwhile Head of ABW Krzysztof Wacławek on Tuesday. His letter on X was published by erstwhile deputy chief of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Maciej Wąsik.

A scandal with Homeland safety and Nawrock. Mr Wacławek spoke

"Therefore, no "Gdanese ABW officer" could issue a negative opinion on this procedure, as it was decently and in accordance with the laws in force in Warsaw, and the experts of the interior safety Agency dealing with the protection of classified information for many years recommended the release of safety certificates to Dr. Karol Nawrock to the highest clauses" - we read.

Wacławek added that he thinks that the current head of the ABW informed the Prime Minister of this fact. "I besides hope that you have been informed that, as part of the audit carried out in the ABW for the years 2016-2023, among others, any individual safety certificates issued by me, including the file of proceedings against Dr. Karol Nawrocki, were very thorough," he pointed out.

"This Audyt assessed positively the conduct of the proceedings and found no irregularities in the issue of individual safety certificates to Dr. Karol Nawrock, president of the Institute of National Memory," noted the erstwhile head of the ABW.

"As the erstwhile Head of the interior safety Agency, I express my firm opposition to the engagement of ABW officers in the election campaign, and I do not agree to public speaking of officers in connection with their duties during the time I served as Head of the interior safety Agency," he said.

"I would besides like to make it clear that the materials collected in the course of the examination proceedings are classified and can only be made available in circumstances strictly defined by the Act on the protection of classified information. In another cases, it is simply a public violation of the law, and in the ongoing electoral run – contrary to democratic principles" - he concluded.

As we have already informed, the interior safety Agency in 2021, during the extended proceedings against Karol Nawrocki, gathered information about the financing of the acquisition of his flat from Jerzy Ż.

The strong words of Tusk on ABW and Nawrocki

"In the light of many media inquiries, I confirm that the ABW in the course of an extended examination of Mr. Karol Nawrocki in 2021 collected materials concerning the way and sources of financing of the acquisition of the flat from Jerzy Ż" – wrote the spokesperson of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Jacek Dobrzyński on Tuesday.

"The head of the interior safety Agency Krzysztof Wacławek (current advisor to the president of Poland) decided to issue a safety certificate to Karol Nawrock", he said.

"The investigating Nawrocki case a Gdańsk ABW officer issued a negative opinion in 2021, but the agency's writing chieftains for unknown reasons did not take it into account. At the time, the head of the ABW is present the advisor to president Dudy," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
