Tusk about Kaczyński: no chance without Braun

"Kaczyński's declaration that 'never with Braun' sounds promising and rational. I want it had anything to do with reality. Without Braun Kaczyński there is no chance of gaining power, and for power, as we know, he is willing to sacrifice everything," said Donald Tusk.

The Prime Minister thus referred to Kaczyński's fresh public statements. During a Friday press conference, PiS president was asked about Braun. At the time he stated that he considered it a policy which was dangerous for Poland. “I have never talked to him, and I consider him a politician who has far exceeded those limits that are impossible for politicians in our sphere of civilization,” he said.

He further expressed hope that Braun's party, or Confederation of the Polish Crown, would not be in parliament, "because it would not exceed the electoral thresholds".

Kaczyński hard at Braunie and his party: should stay on the margin

He pointed out that the vote for this formation is "totally ineffective". “If Poland wants to receive even an simple basis of its security, then the fresh government cannot be a government with participation or even support of Mr Braun’s supporters,” Kaczyński said.

Furthermore, the president admitted that "although he is not a supporter of repression, he believes that this organization should stay on the margins". – Besides, there are these issues of his (Brauna – ed.) various presences in Moscow. There are plenty of reasons to say 'there is simply a limit here and we will not cross it' – he wrote and added that the PiS would not exceed that limit.

Let's add that in fresh polls of organization support Braun gains. Looking at the latest survey by United Surveys by IBRiS for the Virtual Poland Confederation of the Polish Crown, it received 9.7 percent of the votes, which represents an increase of 1.6 percent points from the last poll.
