AfD wins elections in Germany. Shocking exit poll score

According to exit polls conducted during the elections to the Land of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany, the German alternate (AfD) prevailed, defeating the existing main forces – including the ruling CDU Chancellor Friedriech Merza in the Bundestag. AfD won, according to exit poll poll polls, between 44 and 44.5% of support, declassifying all another parties. For now, it is not determined whether the right-wing organization will embrace independent governments in Saxony-Anhalt, but there are very good chances.

This is the best organization score at the Land level. In the erstwhile elections in 2021, AfD gained 20.8% of support, or more than twice as much. According to the data published by the German ZDF station, AfD received 44 percent of the vote, and according to the ARD, 44.5% of the CDU won 18.5 percent in both polls. The 3rd place was taken by Die Linke (Levice) with a score of between 9 and 9.5 percent, Greens achieved 8.5-9 percent and SPD 8-9 percent ARD estimated support for BSW to be 5 percent.

Such a advanced score can open the AfD way to participate in the Land government or – which is highly likely due to the low coalition capacity of the formation – to make it alone. However, it is not known whether the organization will be able to get the majority in the Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt on its own. It will depend mostly on whether the BSW exceeds the 5% electoral threshold. If it is under the threshold, it will not be active in the division of mandates, and this could increase the advantage of "Alternative".
