The disparity in the air forces of Russia and Ukraine seemed even greater a year ago than in the case of ground troops. The Russians, however, failed to gain the advanced hand in the air throughout the year. At present, it seems that the air force may be a origin that will contribute to the success of the fresh Russian offensive. But will they be up to the emerging Western armaments?
