On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Central territory Court of Puttusk was detained. According to the president of the Pułtusek territory Court, Marcin Korajczyk, this detention is connected with the suspicion of committing a crime to the detriment of the State Treasury.

The president of the Pułtusk territory Court, Marcin Korajczyk, gave the local media the following information: “On June 18, 2024, officers of the Central Accounting Officers of the Pułtusk territory Court were detained in connection with the suspicion of committing a crime against the Treasury.”
On the same day, the manager of the General Court, pursuant to Article 12b(1)(2) of the Law on the Workers of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office, immediately suspended the Chief Accountant in his duties. Then, on June 19, 2024, the employment relation with this worker was terminated without notice, due to the employee's responsibility – alleged disciplinary dismissal.
Actions taken by the Court of First Instance
In connection with the suspicion of a crime, on 18 June 2024 the president of the territory Court of Pultusek, pursuant to Article 22(1)(c) in conjunction with Article 8(2) and Article 1(3) of the Law on the strategy of Universal Courts, ordered interior control of the functioning of the Court of First Instance. This inspection shall cover all activities undertaken by the Chief Accountant and the correct performance of those activities from the time of post of office until suspension of duties.
Cooperation with law enforcement authorities
Since the discovery of the anticipation of committing the crime, the territory Court in Pułtusek, representing the victim – the Treasury, has been cooperating with the Police Headquarters, The Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Justice in order to explain the circumstances of the case in a fair manner.
