This confirmed – our city is decently managed. For the seventh time, City Council Council Council Councillors granted a discharge to president Rafał Zając. A unanimous decision besides means the appropriate implementation of the Stargard budget. We have reason to be satisfied. The past year has had a very affirmative impact on the improvement of our city. Nearly PLN 90,000,000 was allocated to investments. This can be seen in numbers, reports and various accounts, but above all in concrete projects carried out in all Stargard districts," says president Rafał Zając.
The year 2023 ended in our city with real large investments. 1 of the most crucial and most expected by the old people was those carried out on the roads. We were consistently building a northern bypass. A fragment from Składowa Street to E. Orzeszkowa Street was commissioned last year. A fewer months later we signed a contract for another episode – from H. Wieniawski Street to the viaduct to Składowa Street. Its construction began this year, and the effects of the work are increasingly visible," says president Rafał Zając. The bypass is not the only road we invested in in in 2023. A immense renovation ended on respective streets in Kluczewo. The residents of Giżynka besides gained greater comfort, comfort and safety. Road upgrades began in the Old Town. The gloss besides recovers Warzywna Street.
The dynamic improvement of the city is undoubtedly evidenced by the constantly expanding cultural and sports offer, as well as investments in education. Last year, they starkly gained a modernized book, which received additional functions. – We want to increase their capabilities by designing well-known objects again. The Prince of Stargard is simply a good example. After modernization, it is inactive a large library, but besides a gathering place and many creative initiatives. Last year we besides heavy rebuilt the amphitheater – the effects of this immense investment will be seen by thousands of viewers in a fewer days. In 2023 the renovation of the century collegiate besides ended. Our Monument of past delights even more, becoming a real magnet for tourists from Poland and from all over Europe. We besides effectively obtained external funds to revalorize another valuable monuments. Thanks to this, step by step we are renovating our defence walls,” says the President.
There was a lot going on in schools – in addition to the immense investment in the thermal modernization of SP no. 3, there were smaller but besides much needed renovations. respective twelve tiny old-timers gained custody in a brand fresh branch of Urban Kindergarten No. 5. We besides invested in sports. The real hit last winter was the fresh rink. Thousands of people slipped under the roof in comfortable conditions.
Proper implementation of the city budget is not just investment expenditure. A major challenge was to keep pace with social policy developments. “The quality of life in the city is besides demonstrated by the offer aimed at people with peculiar needs. In Stargard, we bend over all problem and effort to scope out with targeted, concrete support where necessary. Therefore, for years we have been implementing programs aimed at older people from various social groups – including seniors, people with disabilities and people at hazard of social exclusion. We're inactive looking for solutions. The activities of NGOs with which the city works are besides invaluable,” added the President.
In 2023, Stargard's full income amounted to over PLN 426,000. full expenditure is over PLN 433,000,000. The Council unanimously concluded that the budget was implemented in the right way. They besides had no uncertainty during the vote on discharge for the President, who had already received it for the seventh time. “It is always a peculiar minute of large gratitude and pride for me. I thank the fresh councillors for their trust, and I assure them that I want to proceed to cooperate effectively. Each time I am besides full aware of how much effort and work in budget implementation had to be put in the staff of professionals who want to make our city. Therefore, thanks are besides due to my colleagues. They are people who are full committed to the needs of residents and to the implementation of a strategy that increases the possible of Stargard. I am glad that 2023 was so successful for the full city. However, I am full aware that the biggest challenges are inactive ahead of us, including a complete reconstruction of the centre. This investment could cost as much as PLN 100,000,000," concludes president Rafał Zając.
