Let us not uncertainty that the planet is in the hand of God, not by chance; that Christ is ruling him, not by anyone or whatever; that 1 is King, even if any may seem to be missing him or losing him," said Archbishop Adrian Galbas during the liturgy of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday.
The central point of the Holy Friday liturgy is the adoration of the cross. Archbishop Adrian Galbas presided over prayer in the capital basilica of the Holy Cross.
In the homily of the hierarch, he emphasized that by standing before the Savior's cross and considering His passion and death it was not about emotion, inexpensive emotion, but about the change of heart.
– May our fossil hearts, too, comprehend what Christ has done for us through his torture and death, that they may love him even more, that they may not change from unbelievers' hearts to believers,...for since we are here, we are surely men of faith, but that our hearts may change from believers' hearts to believers even more said the Warsaw metropolitan.
He pointed out that Christ did not abandon man in his suffering.
– Jesus didn't abandon you. He is with you in your suffering—personal, personal, yours. He, who himself was disfigured by suffering, is with you! From His pierced Heart, the invisible juices of grace flow, the refreshing streams of love, which is greater than the top pain. And it's bigger than death. – said the hierarch.
He was convinced that Jesus "pityed our sorrows and sufferings, our uncertainty and helplessness, for he is experienced in everything in our likeness."
– I want that now that so much certainty fails, his presence and his love would become more certain in our lives. I pray for it, but at the same time I fear that it will not happen that many will again – quoting Isaiah – despise Christ that he will have nothing to do with him, that he will turn even more towards his own path. said Archbishop Galbas.
He emphasized that although Christ was tortured, ridiculed and humiliated on the cross, he remained king to the end. He said that 1 proof of this was not only Jesus' conversation with Pilate erstwhile he said he was king, but besides that he was buried in an unused grave. – The king was buried like this said the preacher.
– Let us not uncertainty that the planet is in the hand of God, not in the hand of chance; that the planet is governed by Christ, not by anyone, or by anything; that 1 is the King, even if any may think that he is not, or that he has lost-- stated the Warsaw metropolitan.
He called for always more in tiny and large matters to follow the logic and fact of the Savior.
– May we effort to live all day so as to do as small as possible in it as possible to focus on the good. May we walk through the earth doing well and be able to give our lives for our brothers, to sacrifice something for them, to forgive them, to remove the burden of guilt and pain from their backs," said Archbishop Galbas. – Let prayer be the first manifestation of this attitude – he added.
He pointed out that the large Saturday was not a time of "pleasure" and "sacrifice," but "prayer, large meditation, and large gratitude to Christ for coming down to hell."
– God fell asleep in the human body, and raised up those who have slept for centuries... He's going to find the first man, like a lost lamb. He wants to visit those who sit completely in the shadow of death; to deliver from the pains of Adam's slave, and with him the slave of Eve, he is their God and boy Eve. – said Archbishop Galbas quoting “an ancient homily on the Holy and large Saturday” from the liturgy of hours (refrigerator).
After the end of the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday, the Blessed Sacrament is transferred to the symbolic tomb of the Lord. In the basilica of the Holy Cross its decoration refers to 400 years of parish and crucial for the life of the community of the person.
According to tradition, in the Archdiocese of Warsaw in the evening, the faithful walk in the Central Way of the Cross, which crosses the streets of the capital.
