Energy safety and military safety do not should be conflicting goals. In Poland’s offshore wind energy sector, a legal framework has been established to measure the impact of investments on defence systems, border protection, and maritime security. Expert assessments and agreements with the applicable authorities service to identify possible disruptions and find ways to mitigate or compensate for them. The goal is to enable the implementation of these projects while ensuring the appropriate functioning of the nation’s safety systems. It is besides worthwhile to apply these lessons on land by developing assessment and cooperation principles tailored to the circumstantial characteristics of onshore wind farms.
