Brutally beaten man by a group of Ukrainians on Strzeszyn Lake close Poznań. Police are looking for attackers.
Information about this incidental was provided by the ‘Epoznan’ portal, based on the relation of 1 of its readers. The incidental took place on Easter Sunday at 11:00 p.m. in front of the Strzeszynek Motel terrace on Strzeszyńskie Lake, north-west of Poznań. The injured tells that he and his friends were attacked by a large group of foreigners, according to him Ukrainians.
“(...) a group of about 20 Ukrainians beat up, kicked me and my accompanying friends in groups with utmost brutality and for no reason. Among another things, by beating women's faces with fists and smashing bottles on our heads, Poles who have been coming there for years and we have never met [everywhere first spelling – ed.]" - the victim is reported.
According to his account, “the attacks occurred twice, suggesting that a group of attackers might have intended to inflict further harm on us.” He made it clear that the situation could have been much worse if aggressors had not only bottles on them, but besides knives, which could lead to the request to treat wounds in the infirmary and surgical and ophthalmic and laryngological interventions.

According to a man who has been surviving in this area for nearly 60 years, a group of attackers clearly intended to attack everyone, and peculiarly brutally treated women present at the scene, striking them with fists.
"The late police intervention did not prevent the gang from returning to finish the work and to finish the barely alive attacked. For 58 years surviving in the vicinity, I've been coming almost all day to this lake, but I've never seen specified a violent attack before, and besides specified a fist-beating woman. This is unimaginable to me,” quotes his reader’s portal “Epoznan”.
In an interview with the portal Łukasz Paterski, a spokesperson for the Poznań police, admitted that shortly after midnight from Sunday on Monday they received a study of a man being beaten by a group of people at Koszalinska Street on Strzeszyński Lake. Paterski reported that a man was assisted on the scene by an ambulance called in. However, he pointed out that they had not yet received an authoritative notification on the matter. Neither did Paterski mention any another victims.
Additional information was later provided by Radio Poznań, besides citing Paterski. In addition to previously provided information, it was reported that the injured man, who had head injuries and chest ailments, was transported to a infirmary where he was released home after treatment. The man reported that his attackers were hitting him with fists and kicking him. Police have secured surveillance footage and are planning to interview witnesses identified by the victim. His stories indicated that a group of men who attacked him spoke Russian or Ukrainian.
"Despite this, actions are now underway to halt the perpetrators of this event," added Łukasz Paterski, quoted by Radio Poznań.
According to additional information, another people who stayed with the injured man at the lake and besides suffered injuries have not yet officially reported this to the police.
