Iranian president calls for stronger Muslim unity
Iran's president Masud Pezekhan called for greater unity between Muslim countries, calling for them to transform common resources and possible into collective strength and prevent the exploitation of their territories against each other.
Speaking at the beginning ceremony of the 40th global Conference of muslim Unity held on Thursday in Tehran, Pezeshkian said that the unity of Islam does not mean that Muslims must become identical or abandon their religious, political and national differences. He added that unity means alternatively to guarantee that differences do not turn Muslims into enemies, and political disputes will never justify the support of 1 Muslim country for an attack on another.
He stressed that the muslim planet needs unity based on truth, justice and common responsibility.
Pezeshkian said that more than 2 billion Muslims live in 57 associate States of the Organisation for muslim Cooperation (OIC) that have immense energy resources, strategical trade routes, large outlets, young populations and crucial technological and technological potential.
However, he noted that the combined economical weight and intra-Muslim trade remained below their potential, arguing that the main problem was the deficiency of transforming these scattered opportunities into common will and strength.
Referring to the fresh war of US and Israeli aggression against Iran, Pezeshkian stated that Iran was not the initiator of the conflict and has the right to defend itself against military aggression. At the same time, he stressed that the defence of Iran should not mean hostility towards neighbouring or Muslim nations, declaring that "no muslim country should become a platform for aggression against another muslim country".
He said Iran was ready to enter into joint safety agreements with its neighbours and reiterated Tehran's support for Palestine by treating them as a substance of defence of oppressed alternatively than of spiritual affiliation.
Pezeshkian besides proposed a pact on common safety and non-aggression between Muslim countries, a permanent mechanics for mediation and conflict prevention within the Organisation for muslim Cooperation (OIC) and wider economic, technological and technological cooperation.

His comments came after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced an economical force run called “Economic Operation of Outcasts”, threatening to hit Iran's oil gross and its global financial interests and impose secondary penalties on countries and companies dealing with Tehran.
Bessent claimed that Washington is seeking to "cut off all economical line of life" of Iran and warned that no entity would be outside the scope of American sanctions. The campaign, which he called "economic D-day", met with criticism in Iran as another effort by Washington to apply forced economical measures to isolate the country and put force on its global partners.

Iran's president Masud Pezeszkaan stressed that war should not be seen as a consequence to any crisis, claiming that Iran can overcome the challenges through deliberate, careful planning and strategical reasoning while protecting its national interests.
Speaking at a conference in Tehran on Wednesday, Pezeszkaan praised the resilience of various groups of Iranian society during the fresh war of aggression between the US and Israel.
‘But war is not always a solution," said the President, stressing that the problems that can be solved by reason and diplomacy should not be solved by confrontation.
He added that Iran could overcome the current circumstances through “reasonability and consideration” and prosecute dignity and national pride.
Pezeshkian besides praised the memorandum of knowing with Islamabad as a reason for pride for the muslim Republic, stating that Iran was considered a winner of the confrontation in global analyses.
Referring to the Imama Ali (PBUH) directive on peace, Pezeshkian said that the peace proposition made by the enemy should not be rejected erstwhile it serves the satisfaction of God, due to the fact that peace brings relief to soldiers and safety to people and markets.

Tehran-Pekin strategical relations based on mutually beneficial cooperation: Qalibaf
Iranian Parliament president Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf praised Beijing for rejecting Washington's illegal sanctions against Tehran, stressing that the strategical ties between Iran and China are based on cooperation that benefits both parties and require no one's consent.
"We welcome China's fundamental message to reject illegal (American) sanctions against Iran," Qalibaf wrote Wednesday evening in a post on X.
"The comprehensive strategical partnership between Iran and China is based on common respect, cooperation that benefits both sides and a shared imagination of the multipolar world," he added.
"This relation does not request anyone's permission," Qalibaf stressed.
His message came after a spokesperson for the Chinese MFA rejected the latest U.S. action against Iran and stated that his country is powerfully opposed to illegal sanctions that have no basis in global law or in the UN safety Council mandate.
"The economical war and the maximum force do not bring any solutions. On the contrary, they only fuel tensions and hazard spreading, which will disrupt global economical and financial order and harm the legitimate rights and interests of another countries," said Chinese MFA spokesperson Lin Jian at a Tuesday press conference.
