According to the [Breaking Defense](https://breakingdefense.com/2026/02/is-the-army-about-to-shake-up-the-xm30-bradley-replacement-sources-see-major-signs/ portal, the US Army, together with General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) and American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV), is working on a fresh XM30 infantry fighting vehicle. In June 2025, the decision was made to scope milestone B and start the plan and production phase (EMD - Engineering and Manufacturing Development). However, the Chief of the General Staff of the US Army, General Randy George, and Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll decided to put this decision on hold in order to leave themselves the door to inactive be able to make changes to the program.
