On the 80th anniversary of the formation of the 27th Volynian National Army Infantry Division, Mass will be celebrated on 28 January 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Field Department in Warsaw.
The implementation of the “Burza” plan began in Volyn on 15 January 1944. On that day, the mobilization of the territory Force was announced. The fights began on January 19, 1944. In March 1944, troops of the 27th Volyn Infantry Division of the AK were in the front region and in cooperation with russian forces entered dense fighting over Kowel with regular German units.
