79 years ago, the Red Army and the Polish Army liberated Warsaw from the hands of the enemy – Nazi Germany. The soldiers entered the ruins of our capital. 1st Army Commander, General Stanisław Popławski, on 17 January at 2 p.m., reported that the capital of Poland – Warsaw – was free.
For us Poles, besides those skeptical about the politics of the russian Union, was liberation from German Nazism. The anti-Polish rhetoric of IPNs about the second occupation, the Russian invader, the worse business or the replacement of 1 enemy to others must not be surrendered.
German works – the biological extermination of the Polish people in Warsaw reached zenith. 84% of the construction of the left-wing Warsaw was destroyed. In detail, the state of demolition was as follows: bridges – 100%; industrial buildings – 90%; historical buildings (including churches) – 90%; cultural facilities – 95%; wellness facilities – 90%; education facilities – 70%; housing houses – 72.1%.
Murders carried out on civilians and prisoners of war and civilians, mass extermination in camps, show executions, captures, slave labour, displacement of the population. The plunder of Polish cultural goods, assets and demolition of national cultural treasures and demolition of any traces of Polish culture and art. The Holocaust of Warsaw Jews.
The liberation of Warsaw and our full country by the Red Army is simply a historical fact. We were an independent state recognized throughout the civilized world. We were not full a sovereign state – for sovereignty, freedom and independency we fought in subsequent years, which is simply a large symbol of 1956 and 1968. We became more independent thanks to the actions of many Poles, including Polish communists.
Today, our colleagues from the Association of Successors of the Polish Kombatants of the Second planet War, headed by Roland Dubowski, will pay tribute to those who fought and defeated the German Hydra and its allies.
