Welcome to 43. Pilgrimage of Human Life Defenders to Jasna Góra, to be held on 18 March 2023.
The National Pilgrimage of Human Life Defenders on Jasna Góra, whose past dates back to 1980 is simply a unique time of prayer for life. Lovers of life – representatives of pro-life movements and associations, but besides individual pilgrims, gather at Jasna Góra to ask for the protection of the lives of conceived children, as well as for a concrete commitment of state structures to care for people with disabilities. That's the answer to the call in the encyclical. Evangelium vitae John Paul II concluded: “A large prayer for life is urgently needed, permeating the full world”.
The gathering at Jasna Góra will begin at 9 a.m. in the hall of St John Paul II. Participants will be able to perceive to lectures in 2 thematic blocks and a certificate of a household raising a disabled son. We will pay peculiar attention during the lecture part to the request to support people with disabilities and their caregivers, and we will besides consider the challenges presently facing pro-life movements.
The central point of the gathering will be Mass in the Chapel of the Miraculous Image, chaired by JE Archbishop Wenceslaw Depo, Metropolitan of Czestochowa.
The gathering will end with a common Way of the Cross on Jasna Góra Walls.
During the pilgrimage the awards of the 19th edition of the National competition for Youth pro-life “Help save life for the defenceless” will be presented for the prize of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko.
For the last 2 years, as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic in Poland and the world, the gathering at the ft of Jasna Góra was more modest and limited to the prayer part, and only representatives of pro-life movements and associations were participants. Therefore, we are pleased that this year we can invitation everyone for whom the thought of defending life is close to the heart.

9.25 – Wojciech Zięba, president of PSOŻC – “Sweet-bitter success. Forgotten children with disabilities".
9.50 – 10.40 Awards in the “Help save lives for the helpless” contest.
Chapel of the Miraculous Image:
11.00 – Holy Mass chaired by JE Rev. Archbishop Wacław Depo.

12.50 – Jan Posamalski "Studies, quietly and consistently. EU law against life".

13.45 - End of part in the Hall.
3:30 p.m. The Way of the Cross on the Jasna Góra Walls.
