Poland should not copy Berlin's errors or presume their costs by the relocation mechanisms imposed. The Polish state must decide who enters and stays in the country. Border sovereignty is not abstraction. It is the right of families to safe streets and, at the same time, the work of the authorities to guarantee that any regulation of freedom is justified and controlled.
Dobrindt's proposals require legal debate, but the diagnosis itself is clear: passive hazard management is over. Europe needs safety based on facts, law and responsibility, not spells.
