40. THE YEAR OF JERZ’S SURVEILLANCE
date:19 October 2024 Editor: GKut

Yesterday, the 40th anniversary of the kidnapping of Fr Jerzy Popiełuszko on the Bydgoszcz-Torun road, erstwhile the priest returned to Warsaw in the evening after the Mass for Solidarity in Bydgoszcz.

Of course, all of Poland knew that the perpetrators of the kidnapping were esbecs who had long been harassing Go for Masses and homilies for Homeland, which he celebrated all period since October 1981. And on December 12, 1983, he was summoned to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, where he was presented with... allegations from Article 194 of the Criminal Code! In the meantime, in his parish, under the call of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Żoliborz, he was given flyers and second-cycle prints, including explosives. After the search, an investigation was initiated against him, an indictment was filed, but the trial was not due to amnesty in the country. However, he was persecuted further, so after the kidnapping, a mass was celebrated regular in his parish to save the priest. Unfortunately, on October 27, radio and tv broadcast a speech by the Ministry of the Ministry of the Interior, General Kiszczak, who boldly announced the arrest of 3 perpetrators of the kidnapping and 2 MMA employees, adding that the victim of the kidnapping is dead. And 3 days later, in a flood close Włocławek, the massacred corpse of Father George was found. specified a message aimed at disorienting the public, creating the impression that the kidnapping was carried out without Kiszczak's knowledge. There were besides rumours that the action of kidnapping of the priest wanted to harm General Jaruzelski's “good name”. So the authoritative propaganda in specified a gruesome killing wanted to see first of all the "provokation", especially for Western countries. We remember well those days and how the ceremony of the Solidarity Priest survived all of Poland. The parish in Żoliborz became the site of his grave and shrine of Solidarity. I think that Blessed Fr Jerzy would not resent us, in the 40th anniversary of His martyrdom, to remind of another victims of the PRL regime, another priests murdered in those years, due to the fact that we will not be able to present here hundreds of priests who have died for their Homeland since Stalin took over Poland and his spaz. In 1951 there were about 900 priests in Polish prisons, as W. Roszkowski says in "History of Poland 1914-1990" (W-wa, PWN 1991, p. 207). present Tusk tries to resurrect these practices.

Even during the preparations for the circular table, the fallen government of the Polish People's Republic did not halt the repression of priests known for patriotism. Fr Stefan Niedziela, priest of the AK, was murdered at night on January 20/21, 1989 by SB. Fr Stanislaw Suchowolec died – as if he were “spoiled” – 10 days later, and his “guilty” was that he commemorated the character and death of Fr Jerzy. The freedom opposition presented the case of these murders before the circular table, but the government's blackmail prevented the protest. It was a sign that the outgoing power was not going to change its criminal ways at all, utilizing corruption from the justice system, which usually covered up these crimes with the remission of investigations. And indeed, the PZPR refused to discuss the courts and prosecutors at the circular table. And another fresh Year's Eve priest was murdered in July 1989. His body was found at the bus station in Krynica Morska, and the investigation was dropped in 1993.

The proclaimed III of the Republic of Poland has thus retained an immanent flaw in the strategy of the Polish People's Republic, reigning and today, which is demonstrated peculiarly with a shoe and contempt for democracy by the Government of Tusk, Bodnar and Cornelius. During the martial law, SB besides liquidated priests who assisted interned families, and in sermons they stood on the side of the nation, not WRON, so Fr Leon Błaszczak strangled in the rectory at night from 26 to 27 December 1982, Fr Stanisław Kowalczyk died on 8 May 1983 after a provoked traffic accident or yet Fr Stanisław Palimak crushed with his own car by pushing him off the driveway. Criminal “traditions” survived and in the 3rd Poland, as evidenced by the mysterious death, preceded by torture, Fr.Joseph Jamroz, murdered beastly at night from 10 on 11 December 2001 in the church in Jelcz-Laskowice. His body was besides desecrated, and the rectory was robbed and set on fire. And as “Our Journal” ( 24.X.2023) says in Massana Dolna – the place of birth of Fr.Jamroza – has been held since 2003 an yearly literary competition devoted to his memory and mysterious “refused” death. Right, and if even Cardinal Nycz mentions the 40th anniversary of the death of Fr Jerzy, it may mean that present the Church is besides anxiously looking at the illness of the Polish Themid, which allowed impunity to kill not only priests, but besides ministers, generals, aviation experts and witnesses of the Smolensk “catastrophe” or PiS politicians. The serial “suicide” during Tusk's first reign had his hands full. And our contemporary bodnarization is going to compose specified practices in the Constitution of the 3rd Republic of Poland, not only to torment Fr Olszewski in prison.. . Starve thousands of people fired from work erstwhile they halt investing or give jobs to strangers. Unfortunately, we live in the disgraceful times of the country's ruins and all values, but we have heard the voice of reason in the President's message late delivered in the Sejm. It was like a informing and a larum calling for the defence of the essential fundamental rights of the Nation.
