301. Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our woman Guardian of the Holy religion in Barda. The tradition of fresh Russian pilgrimage to Bard dates back to the 17th century and for respective years it has re-entered the spiritual scenery of the fresh Ruda decanate.
For 3 centuries, the inhabitants of Nowa Ruda and close towns have been pilgrimages to Our woman of Bardwiga.
As the organizers remind, before planet War II the pilgrimage was held regularly, but was later abandoned in postwar reality. The tradition was restored in 2013. The parishes of St. Nicholas in Nowa Ruda and St. Catherine in Jugowo encourage participation in the labor.
The past of the pilgrimage dates back to 1651. Then the fire of 1 of the apartments on the marketplace in Nowa Ruda rapidly spread to respective houses. After the fire was put out, the inhabitants, grateful for saving the remainder of the city, decided to thank Our woman in Barda. Thus a tradition of yearly pilgrimage was born, which lasted until 1944.
This year, 301. Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our woman Guardian of the Holy religion in Barda will set out
6 June 2026 at 6.00 p.m. with J. Matejka in Nowa Ruda. Donors are to scope Bard around 2:00 p.m.
The pilgrimage way is nearly 30 km long and leads through the picturesque lands of Kłodzka.
