Today, many crucial news came out from the direction of Bachmut

Here the Russians resumed an offensive after a period to approach Chasiv Jaru from the north by occupying the northern coal mine
The struggles around the city again intensified, as Ukrainians effectively find Russian attempts to break through close Kaliniwa, effectively forming a deadly fire pocket with a depth of respective 100 meters.

Previously, Russian forces had focused on consolidating control of the east side of the canal close Hryhorivka while trying to cross the canal and securing full control of Kaliniwa.
The Paratroopers of the 98th Airborne Division, assigned to this sector, stopped their activities for a long time to recover from erstwhile losses and any elements were moved to the Kursk region.
After completing its ranks and stabilising another fronts, Russian command resumed offensive operations in the Chasiv Jar area.

Russian command concentrated its offensive strategy around the city of Kaliniwka, located north of Chasiv Jar.
In order to advance, Russian forces must cross the channel moving through Kaliniwka, which divides the city into the east and western parts.
Securing positions on the west side of the city would supply the Russians with a key base to launch an assault on the northern coal mine complex close Chasiw Jaru, a key tactical hill.
The topographic map shows that the northern coal mine is somewhat higher than Chasiv Jar himself, which gives it strategical importance in the area

By taking control of the northern coal mine complex, Russian forces would be able to usage its advanced heaps to establish fire control over the full Chasiv Jar area.
These leadership positions would let them to monitor the movements of Ukrainian troops within and around Chasiv Jaru, providing critical intelligence for their air and artillery units.
Additionally, erected heaps could service as perfect sites for mortar and sniper sites, allowing fast attacks on Ukrainian forces in the city.
If the Russians could consolidate their position in the northern coal mine and make full usage of its advanced ground for fire control, they would be able to carry out a direct attack on the centre of Chasiv Jaru, possibly threatening the Ukrainian defence of the city.

Russian command implemented this plan, starting an attack on Kaliniwka, after dense shelling and bombing of the village
With a large number of paratroopers completed after a month's break, they were able to carry out intense attacks with a large number of casualties.
Their goal was to rapidly capture the full Kaliniwka and then immediately decision to storm to the northern coal mine complex.
However, despite the first penetration, the Russian attack was stuck in a dead place after beating little than 500 metres west of Kaliniwa.

As Russian attacks and fast maneuvers got stuck in a dead end, Ukrainian forces were easier to track and harm Russian troops trying to hide in Kaliniwki housing buildings.
Nevertheless, Russian command continued to send reinforcements to a bay in Kaliniwka, hoping to gather stronger assault forces to re-attack the northern coal mine from within the city.
However, the Russian wharf, covering just about 100 square meters, became very sensitive
This tiny area made it easier for Ukrainian forces to detect large concentrations of Russian troops, turning it into a death region where they caused dense losses.

The movie material from this area shows Ukrainian aviation bombing Russian positions in Kaliniwiec with GBU-39-led bombs, effectively suppressing troops and stopping further attacks.
Furthermore, Ukrainian drone operators targeted Russian thermobaric artillery systems TOS, which are crucial for supporting ground offensives.
In a crucial blow to the Russian forces, they managed to destruct the uncommon tox thermobaric system, reducing fire support available to Russian units and weakening their assault capabilities.
