Day 814

Today quite a few information came out from the direction of Kharkiv

Here the Russians made tactical profits along the border and late reached Liptsi and Woczańska, 2 main fortresses towards Kharkiv.
Ukrainians are making gradual efforts to stabilise the front and halt the Russian offensive.
The last time we discussed this direction, the situation was very unclear, due to the fact that border settlements north of Liptsi and Woczańska were in a grey area.
As the situation developed, fresh information about events in this direction was emerging.

The first line of defensive fortifications extends from Liptsi to Woczańska and Kupańska.
This line is located 5 to 10 kilometres from the global border, and the reason for this is that any equipment and concentration of forces would be detected and shot straight at the border.
The Russians fired artillery and rocket missiles to concentrate pro-Ukrainian forces specified as the RVC, during their raids at the border, which shows how dangerous the direct border is for large groups of troops.
Because of this, borders were never heavy protected, so Ukrainians only deployed tiny infantry troops on the direct border.

The protection of the direct borders of Ukraine was entrusted to the State Border Service of Ukraine, a branch subordinate to the army.
The Army was the first to respond to the first Russian attacks on the Kharkivs.
The task of the border defender was to meet the Russians at the border, inform the command of the Russian offensive, estimation their forces, and then plan to retreat to the first line of defense.
Meanwhile, the leading Ukrainian forces occupying fortifications were to adapt to the Russian offensive and allocate additional troops held in reserve in Kharkov to respond to specified developments.

During the conflict towards Liptsi, despite hard conditions, tiny Ukrainian Border defender troops managed to keep their territory for 8 to 10 hours on the first day of the offensive without meals and contact with another units, for which they were prepared.
As a consequence of continuous Russian attacks in this area, under their control were the villages of Strilecz, Krasne, Morochowiec, Borisivka and Olinikov.
By then, however, Border defender troops continued to retreat to positions aimed at slowing down the Russian assault on Liptsi's first defensive line.

Such fierce resistance, however, gave invaluable time to regular Ukrainian units to deploy troops along the villages of Zelene, Lukiancja and Hlybowe.
At the same time, the main forces lined up on the first line of defense
These positions were prepared to slow the Russians down by occupying Lucjanci, Hlybowe and Zelene to give them more time to strengthen the first line of defense.
Due to the deficiency of natural obstacles or good geographical positions, The Ukrainians continued to retreat south of Lukiantsi.
Meanwhile, in Hlybove, Ukrainian meals in the form of the Forty Second Mechanized Brigade made a large difference thanks to intense FPV drone attacks.
Drone operators from the Forty Second Mechanized Brigade managed to repel the wave behind the wave of Russian armored attacks, causing the Russian's advancement to slow down.
Ukrainian control of part of the village south of the tiny river enabled these very effective attacks, which the Russians inactive have difficulty crossing.

This general defence line was the first of many fortifications in an extensive, multilayered defence inside the region prepared by Ukrainians.
Such complex defensive lines will gradually slow down the Russian attack until it is stopped.
The positions of Hlybove, Lukiantsi and Zelene are to service only as a short-term defence until the arrival of more Ukrainian meals to strengthen and adjust the first line of defense, about 3 kilometres south of the current front line.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army deployed additional reinforcements from the reserves in Kharkiv, including elements of the elite Kraken peculiar forces unit and the 2 100 and fifteenth Territorial Defence Brigade
These units managed to further stabilize the front to the point that Russian attacks towards Liptsi were repulsed.
The latest militant recordings of Ukrainian soldiers from the area show how a group of Russian soldiers imprisoned at home were pinned down by an FPV drone to prepare the ground for further purification operations by Ukrainians.
A squad of 5 Ukrainian soldiers then cleared the home and after a brief exchange of fire took 3 Russians into captivity.
