Last weekend, officers from the Warsaw-Okęta Border defender Service refused to enter Poland to 15 foreigners. The reason for this decision was their failure to meet the requirements for crossing the border and staying in our country. People of Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Pakistan were besides refused entry.
Reasons for refusal of entry
The main reasons for refusing to enter Poland included the deficiency of required residence permits or non-compliance with declarations made by travellers. any foreigners besides utilized the allowed period of stay in Poland, and in the case of others, their data were included in the strategy as undesirables in the Schengen area.
False papers and attempting to cross the border
Among the 15 people refused entry were 2 Pakistani citizens who tried to usage false papers after arriving from Baku. The first of the men claimed an Italian residence card that did not belong to him, and 2 counterfeit prints of the Austrian border control stamp in his first passport. A second Pakistani citizen presented as his papers an Italian passport and an Italian identity card which, after verification, proved to belong to another person. His passport besides reveals a forged print of Austrian border control.
In the case of both men, proceedings were initiated to effort to cross the state border against the rules utilizing papers belonging to others. They have been brought to the attention of Article 264(2) in conjunction with Article 270(2) of the Code for which they have confessed.
Effects of refusal of entry
All travellers who did not meet the conditions for entry into Poland received formal decisions to refuse entry. Most of them left the airport, returning to the country they came from.

Since the beginning of 2024, officers of the Nadwiślań Border defender Branch have already recorded over 970 cases completed by decision to refuse entry into the territory of Poland.
Proceedings of officers at Warsaw Airport Okęcie is part of a broader strategy to guarantee the safety of the borders of Poland and to prevent illegal migration and any effort to violate the rules on entry and residence in the country. Regular checks and verification of papers are intended to prevent persons who do not meet the required criteria from crossing borders.
