15. APPEL REMEMBERING at the Brodno office 45N on the occasion of the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers - report

The solemn ceremony at the Memorial of Political Prisoners executed, murdered from 1944 to 1956 was attended by guests of the authoritative and representatives of social organizations and reconstructors from the household Historical Group of the Zandarmeria Squadron and the flagship number of the 1863 firearm Unit. Colonel Francesco Nullo with the historical banner of the Polish independency organization in possession of the Foundation Fighting for Independence, Cursed, Hurt, Internated, Prisoners.

Guests were present at the Memorial Appeal:

• a long-standing associate of the Polish Parliament and a Euro MP Ewa Tomaszewska

• the nephews of Colonel Lucjan "Janczar" Szymanski - Tomasz and Łukasz Szymanski,

• a delegation of councillors writing the Targówków territory [Mark Waszczyk, Andrzej Dąbrowski, Andrzej Bitel],

• worker of the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners PRL editor Jarosław Wróblewski

• president of the Foundation Fighting for Independence, Cursed, Hurt, Internated, Prisoners Agnieszka Hałaburdzin – Rutkowska

• Delegation of Families of the Deceased and Murdered Non-violent Soldiers from the Przasny County, Tow. Friends of the Przasny Land with Vice-President Dr. Piotr Kaszubowski and the Committee for the Construction of a Monument to the Victims of Communism in Przasnysz,

• representatives of the Warsaw territory of the planet Union of Soldiers AK – vice president of Danuta Sage and Igor Niemadamski

• representatives of the Action of the Catholic Cathedral of St. Florian of Warsaw Prague

and organizers of the ceremony - representatives of the Warsaw Solidarity Association 2010: Hanna Dobrowolska, Maciej Skarżewski, Glenn Jorgenssen and Grzegorz Kutermankiewicz, who filmed the event as all year.

During the ceremony, we listened to brief speeches:

- editor Jarosław Wróblewski, worker of the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic, who quoted a letter written to his boy by Łukasz Ciepliński, ps. "Plow" from UB executionery just before his death.

- Mrs Ewa Tomaszewski about the destiny of commemoration and search of the Soldiers Cursed in Brodno

- Agnieszka Hałburdzin-Rutkowska from the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic.

Then we listened to Mr.Lukasz Szymanski, nephew of Colonel Lucjan "Janczar" Szymanski, who reminded the figure of the Hero, uncle, arrested on 23.12.1944 by Joseph Light [in fact]. Isaac Fleischfarb] and murdered in the Prague executioner alleged "Toledo" 5.03.1945. His underground soldiers were celebrated for their action to retrieve the German prototype V2 rocket and send it to the Allied in London. The Hero's remains have not yet been found.

After the speeches of the solemn Appeal of Memory on behalf of the Polish Army, he read Mr Kamil Speda.

The names of the heroes of the anti-communist underground...

The salva of honor and the military trumpet "Sleep, buddy" sounded profoundly.

The wreaths and bundles laid by the delegations covered the site of the secret burials of the soldiers cursed at the ft of the monument with a flower carpet. A touching delegation was created by Mr. “Polish Patriots” – Teresa Mioduszewska, Henryk Dozur-Gelak and Wiesław Batek.

They burned the candles...

Finally, the talker was taken by a typical of the Society of Friends of the Przasny Land, and the full ceremony ended with the recitation of fragments of the poem read by the host of the celebration Hanna Dobrowolska:

SOLDIERS OF EXHIBITIONS

When the destiny of war was to be determined

And the armored ringing was at Berlin's gate

For them, this war is never over.

The fight for freedom for them begins

With enslavement imposed by force

Through a abroad neighbour strategy from the east

Born to defend the homeland from the enemy

They gave their lives for their dreams

For freedom through the victim's way

False Freedom and Hypocritic Friendship

She was always a alien to the Cursed Soldiers

That's how they taught them, how they raised them.

From the youngest years, from a small boy

Their armed resistance, though in unequal combat

He gave hope, they kept talking about it

That the times will come, that the minute will come

When the Polish eagle will be with the crown again

An example of courage, valor and sacrifice

Which the Cursed Soldiers wanted to make

In torture stations, prisons and gallows

Because freedom of homeland is measured by crosses
