15.01.2023. For this I value Tusk

"If you do not know what to do, behave decently" – since Friday it has been boiling in ranks outraged by the decision of Donald Tusk and another opposition organization leaders not to vote against the unconstitutional amendment equally unconstitutionally passed by the written majority of the ultimate Court Act. It will be the Holovnia, which broke out with the hands of 2 or 3 ladies and gentlemen of the Members of the expected unity of opposition behaviour, born in pains. “Money is not the most important!” others call out, even recalling the heroics of Ukraine and president Zelenski by highly mixing order. The Polish citizens and another active citizens and citizens from “our bubble” who were manifesting on the streets were outraged by the Constitution's T-shirts and for years they fought against the Law and Justice for its adherence. Lech Walesa withdraws his support for the PO. These are just words today, which, although easy to say, change small and do not explain anything, but well illustrate the temper and level of political awareness limited importantly by fatigue and helplessness. They talk a lot about the inactive present meaning of empty gestures and excessive moralizing replacing pragmatic thinking.

The policy is simply a squad action and if any of the politicians "does not know what to do" and does not anticipate the consequences of their steps, they should consult others who "know" what and how, as a result, act full consciously or should not engage in politics or at least stay silent. In my opinion, we are fortunate that Donald Tusk knows precisely what to do, and that is why the uptrodden expression of Bartoszewski does not fit the situation. It's an abuse and darkens the image. We should first effort to realize Tusk's decision and then justice it, but not in terms of "decentness", due to the fact that the call "behave decently" does not answer the measurable and more precise questions: "wisely"? or "stupidly"?, "effectively"? or "ineffectively"? and, above all, is it better to preserve the well-being of the "moral winner", "wash your hands" and have a "reasonable" or make a decision for many, possibly inconclusive, but in the position of a common and expected goal. This is politics, not talking about the perfect planet and our thought of it, the consequences of which end in paying the coffee bill.

The “indecently” Holownia has surely been preserved in all of this. He knew that his decision did not substance and would not change anything but thought that he could take advantage of the situation and one more time distance himself from Tusk, show his distinctness as described in the addendum "faith to principles". He's most likely hoping that we've forgotten his support for the unconstitutional "envelope election" or deficiency of support for the presidential candidate from the Democratic camp, Rafał Trzaskowski, a competitor in the 1st round, who contributed to Duda's triumph in the elections and consolidation of Kaczyński's regulation in Poland or his separate vote on the "Agreement for the regulation of law" issue, but I did not forget. His "moral uproar" present is nothing more than a cynical "on himself" game and, of course, harms the unification of opposition forces in the upcoming elections.

Tusk bought time with his decision and took the ball to the side of power and in the future, possibly the European Commission. Tusk knows very well that without a decisive triumph in the elections, it is best by a constitutional majority to prevent the blocking of changes by Kaczyński-dependent president and constitutional tribunal of Julia Przyłębska, about fundamental repair of the state, including unconstitutional, contrary to the principles of a democratic regulation of law in the field of justice, there is nothing to dream of at the moment. The only chance of this is simply a advanced triumph in the upcoming elections, preferably a common list of democratic forces, which proposes to the remaining opposition parties, for now unsuccessfully for months. It's what it is and it's terrible and dangerous. Kaczyński, despite the opposition of parts of society, the efforts of opposition, reproofs and punishments on the part of the European Union, consistently implements his plan – he builds a nationalist populist authoritarian strategy with elements of oligarchy based on state assets and his organization apparatus. In this situation, the upcoming elections and the triumph of democrats are equivalent to the removal of Kaczyński from power.

Victory will not supply symbolic gestures only concrete actions that affect or affect the election decisions of large numbers of people. Tusk, which is understandable, does not want and should not take work for "not his fault" – EU sanctions and sanctions for the non-compliance with the treaty rules by the Law and Justice Party, i.e. the continuation of EU funds, billions of Euros for Poland, due to the fact that so it would surely be presented by shameless and having its own party, government propaganda. The fact that any of us would know and realize who's liable for what anyway will vote for the Democrats, but the rest? Let me just add that this remainder is simply a majority and their behaviour depends on the result of the election. What's next? What the majority of parliament will do with the amendments of the Senate, what Kaczyński, Morawiecki, Ziobro, Duda will do and at the end of that we can only assume. We do not know what will happen next with milestones and EU funds for Poland, but whatever happens to Kaczyński and TVPiS due to Friday's vote they will not be able to chant with an open helmet that the opposition itself or with the Union is liable for poorness and expensiveness in Poland. I don't gotta convince anyone that this would be a much simpler and stronger message than the papers by the scholars of lawyers or our deep conviction that we are right, from which until the right majority we win the election and effectively take Kaczyński's power, there is truly small that results.

Donald Tusk rightly bought time with this abstaining from the Democratic vote, lifted the door to EU funds for Poland and threw 1 of the dangerous propaganda tools out of Kaczyński's hands.

Does that bring us closer to victory? I don't know, but it surely protects against a pardonous, lying attack that makes it harder for Kaczyński to win again. Unfortunately, in parallel with this revealed deficiency of cooperation of opposition groups and resulting from misunderstandings in any and particularism in others loud and unjustly discredit the actions of today's opposition and, above all, Donald Tusk greatly harms the case.

Let's yet learn to call and justice things as they are, not as we want they were. This policy is an area where in a strictly defined situation it is crucial to be able to find and effectively carry out the best possible solution. This policy is to specify objectives and to choice measures to accomplish them. In democratic systems, this is theoretically what is being assessed.
