11 police officers injured during protests after Henry Nowak died

11 police officers were injured and 2 people were arrested during riots which broke out on Tuesday night in Southampton, Southampton, South England in connection with the death of Henry Nowak - reported local police on Wednesday.

The protest against police action was organised after the Tuesday release of surveillance footage placed in officers' uniforms, where they were seen to deficiency their consequence to Nowak's words, saying he was stabbed and incapable to breathe.

Nowak, a Polish-born 18-year-old student at the University of Southampton, died on 3 December 2025, erstwhile he was stabbed 5 times on his way home by the 23-year-old Sikh Vickrum Digwa. erstwhile the police arrived at the scene, alternatively of helping Nowak, they arrested him and cuffed him due to the fact that they believed Digwa's words that he had been insulted against racial background.
