Today, much is happening towards Avdijiwa

Here the Ukrainians stopped the Russian offensive and launched a counterattack with recently arrived American military aid

After Russian penetration into Ochetyne, the Russians attempted to wing Ukrainian defence in the west to strengthen their control of territorial conquests.
Ukrainians have formed many lines of defence against their main fortress in the area, the town of Pokrowsk.
However, as it rapidly turned out, even the flanking of this defence would not let the Russians to accomplish their goals in the west

While dense fighting over Ochetyne continued, the Russians moved westward to the settlements of Solovowo and Nowobachmutivka.
The Russians had good reasons to first safe this flank to prevent a possible counterattack flanking the Ukrainian 47th Mechanized Brigade.
