1 and 2 August: The Days of the Insurgency of Mokotov in the Museum on Rakowiecka 37

In the courtyard of the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic together with reconstructors from the Historical Project, the Conspiracy will present what life looked like in the insurgent Warsaw, how uniforming and weaponization of the Insurgents changed, we will show insurgent barricades, how medical services, field kitchens worked, what the Insurgents did during the free time.

The hero of the Mokotov Uprising Days will be Lieutenant Helena Żurowska – an agricultural engineer, courier and liaison of the National Army and the Freedom and independency Association, a associate of the Warsaw Uprising, murdered in a prison close Rakowiecka after the war.

We will effort to decision into the atmosphere and temper of the first days of the Insurrection Capital – euphoria and hope to defeat the enemy, but besides everyday life full of fear and fear. On the second day we will decision to the second half of the Uprising – the regular conflict on barricades and surviving in a besieged city, erstwhile insurgent troops faced German attacks hard.

On 2 August at 12.00 p.m. with the band Ferajna from Hoover we invitation you to sing insurgent songs together. In prepared songbooks, well-known songs specified as “Michla Palace”, “Mokotowa March”, “Warsaw has” or “Sanitarski Małgorzata”.

At 1 p.m. in the National Shrine of St. Andrew Bobola, Mass will be celebrated in the intention of prisoners – victims of the massacre carried out by the Germans in the erstwhile prison on the second day of the Warsaw Uprising.
