Today, quite a few information came out from the Kurakhove direction
Here, the Russians launched a bold attack on Prechistivka, a tactically key settlement located just 10 kilometres from Wuhledar
Since the Russians are gathering forces for a major impact at this site, both sides are aware that further action in this area will importantly change the dynamics and complexity of the conflict of Wuhledar.
The Russian strategy aims to circumnavigate Ukrainian forces in Wuhledar through coordinated attacks from the north east and south west.
As I mentioned in the erstwhile report, the northern lap is created by Russian attacks towards coal mines in confederate Donbasa and Wodiane, while the confederate lap is advancing on the Prechistivka.
The goal of the Russian operation in the southeast is to capture the village of Prechistiwka
Securing this location would let Russians to make a logistics center and hide equipment for future operations in the north.
Obtaining the Prechistiva would enable Russian forces to launch an attack on the city of Nowoukrainka.
At the same time, Russian troops attacking The vodians will be heading west.
The final phase of this strategy assumes a coordinated attack from Novoukrainka and Wodian on Bohojawlenka, aimed at a complete circular of Wuhledar.
Russian command has been preparing this offensive for a long time, subjecting Ukrainian positions in Prechistice to a three-month intensive bombing utilizing artillery, multi-guided rocket systems, aviation and FPV drones.
Russian officers believed that the long-term collapse would suppress Ukrainian defenders and weaken their resistance
However, the prolonged period of fire gave the Ukrainians adequate time to admit and foretell the Russian plan.
Overwhelming Russian firepower forced Ukrainian forces defending Prechistivka to retreat north of the Kaszlahach River.
This tactical withdrawal allowed the Ukrainians to establish a more unchangeable second line of defence along the Berestów gorge, set before Nowoukrainska.
Thus the Ukrainians were able to strengthen their defence and prevent the Russians from utilizing the city as a key position in the lap attempt
By retreating to fortified positions north of Prechistiva, Ukrainian forces effectively neutralized the strategical advantage of Russian village acquisition.
The Russians are now forced to fight infantry battles in trenches north of Prechistiva, facing the possible of major losses in open fields between the village and Nowoukrainska.
Without the safety of this advanced area, their operation is doomed to failure.
If we look at the topographical map, we will see that the Ukrainian defensive line lies higher than the Prechistice, which is in the gorge
This advanced position gives Ukrainians full fire control over the lowlands, giving them a crucial tactical advantage.
After months of intense bombing and shelling almost an empty Prechistice, the Russians dispatched a assault group consisting of 12 armored vehicles and about a 100 soldiers.
Against their expectations, the conflict for the village lasted only about 2 days
The main Ukrainian forces have already retreated to reinforced positions in the north, leaving minimal defensive forces in Prechistivka.
This tiny Ukrainian contingent was deliberately left to face Russian assault groups, to inflict crucial losses, and then to retreat north to more fortified positions.
The combat footage from this area shows a Russian drone flying over Prechistivka, registering abandoned Ukrainian positions, highlighting a short-lived Russian triumph in the village.
Original, uncensored conflict recordings from all operations can be found on our Telegram channel via a link in the description.
A Ukrainian soldier from this area reported that the Russians had importantly changed their approach to conducting offensive operations
He noted that Russian command no longer throws recklessly infantry to victims of assaults all over the front without a clear plan
Instead, he carefully plans infantry attacks with a large number of victims, focusing on the tactical importance of certain points along the front.
The Russians besides began to make certain they had the essential reserves to carry out more concentrated and deliberate attacks, indicating a shift towards more calculated and targeted operations.
